Yes

No

What is my biggest challenge with finding employment in Australia?

I think there are a few factors involved for me -

1. My age is a problem.

2. Since our arrival in 2009 we've been working in the bush so we've not had too much exposure to populated Australia other than holidays.

3. I've had trouble getting my qualifications certified here in Australia.

The biggest challange i face is the problem of not being able to actually sit in front of someone / meet them in person.

MAC is one of the leading dust extraction equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and our main remit is to promote these products into the UK market and beyond. Current projects range in value up to £1.8m

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, my role involved the specification and selling of this dust extraction equipment and selling service contracts within Scotland. The markets covered included Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Aggregates and Food & Bev. We also had to maintain and develop our network of resellers, OEM’s and distributors. During my time with the company I exceeded my set targets, 2005 £500k - achieved £550k, 2006 £600k - achieved £640k and 2007 £700k - achieved £800k. During my 3 years with Donaldson, I was also the top sales person for selling service contracts within the UK each year.

January 2004 to February 2005 John Morfield Ltd

Personal Statement

I have been described as a highly motivated, hardworking individual with excellent physical appearance. I’m easy to manage and can operate as part of a team or on my own.

Self-motivation comes naturally to me and I always set myself high standards with regards to effort, planning and results.

Over the last 15 years in sales, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that I use daily to achieve high levels of success and to meet and exceed my targets.

Social Activities

In addition to spending quality time with my family, one of my main hobbies is keeping fit. I cycle 3-5 times per week and I’m also a member of our local gym.
